MARIN ACADEMY, SAN RAFAEL, CA

Construction of a new classroom building and a major remodel of an existing administration building. Phase 1 will be constructed on a newly acquired site adjacent to the existing school facilities. Plant will demolish an existing building and parking lot, and construct a new 17,000 SF, two-story, steel framed library/classroom building in its place.  Phase 1 also includes construction at the courtyard, including a parking area and portions of the retaining walls, ramps, flatwork, and landscaping.

Phase 2 entails the renovation of the 18,000 SF, two-story, wood framed administration building, including the expansion of the ground floor areas into the existing hillside, seismic upgrades, and refinishing of the interior for use as faculty rooms, offices, lecture hall, classrooms, and a student center.
